I avoided all of that with U-Haul.  They had a special-a flat bed
trailer- $40 for 4 days during Thanksgiving.

It towed great, and kept my car form another 750 miles.  Besides, the
tires are so bad, I don't think they would have made the trip from
Atlanta to Pittsburgh. 

Additionally,  no flying debris to chip up the paint that was already in
a sad state.

That was quite a tow for my Ranger, 4 cylinder!  Trailer weighed in at
2300#, without the 'B.
