I agree with Barney on this one. I had to replace my clutch slave cylinder
because the clevis holes were completely worn along with the pin. 

I assume I'm thinking of the same wear - it still shows heavy usage. And I
wouldn't believe a Smith's speedometer for accuracy or assume it actually
worked for the whole 12 years.

I'm still guessing that my 71BGT has 300k plus miles (100k of mine) because
not only was the clutch clevis pin holes worn but the car had a worn out
Austin Marina motor installed (meaning the car went through at least two
engines).
