wrinkle painted dash/Fascia

Hi

I bought a bottle of that Wrinkle paint for my MG's fascia last
saturday.

When I have a close look at my metal plated fascia, I see no history of
any wrinkle paint.

Did all fascia's made of metal plate have wrinkle paint on them?

BTW my 68 GT has the old style dash, before the safety regulations of
the US made it change to the rubbered one.
