I had the *exact* same problem with my 79 MGB. I popped the switch out
of the
dash and sure enough, there was one wire loose in the wiring harnes that
connected
to the switch. Pushed it back into the harness, connected it back to
the switch and
wham, both flashers worked. Check the connections to the switch.
