Just finished swapping OB's 65K mile engine and non-O/D
transmission for YB's 50-70K (but stronger) engine with
it's O/D transmission in tow.
The un-bolting of both cars to a full day, Friday.
The swap today only took about 2 hours including clean
up of OB's engine compartment.
Bolting up the rear cross member and mount bolts was
an experience but easier than this list had warned of.
QUESTION: the old non-O/D transmission had two
2-terminal switches on the right side of the transmission case.
The O/D transmission has a single reverse sw. on the right
side but there is also a little switch on the side of extension supporting
the shifter. Is this the switch that would have been used for the
vacuums cut off relay used on some of the older years?
