More valvetrain loads will wear out the cam and lifters faster - that is
true,
however, on the scale of offenders the high-ratio rockers are not real bad.
the worst offender would be heavy valve springs.
Having said that, this is *not* a great wear problem anyhow. As long as
you follow the bedding-in procedure for new cams/lifters and do regular
servicing the cam will not be normally be the reason to strip you engine
down. Sure when rings and bearings are in need of a birthday check the
cam, but you almost certainly won't have to pull the engine down because
the cam or lifters are worn, even with comp valve springs and high-lift
rockers.
