I would generalize this a bit.
Just go to a junkyard and take ANY small air conditioning
setup, and make it work.
Even the MGB kits were aftermarket, so they didn't
have any really nice MG-style parts. Even the interior
switches and stuff often looked "wrong".
Since you are going to have to adapt anyways,
get a modern system that is already set up for
134a and has only a few miles on it. (something
from a written off car)
