I am currently plagued with the slow-turn-signal syndrome. The left
own blinks normally. The right one blinks very slowly, although the exact
frequency varies for each attempt at using it, sometimes almost as fast as
the left, sometimes so slow that I finish waiting for the light and make the
turn before it blinks once.

As I understand it, the flasher relay's flashing frequency (say that
5 times fast) depends on the amount of current flowing through the circuit,
so I figure I have a bad connection somewhere in the right turn signal loop.
I remember someone saying something about clearing up this problem by
cleaning corrosion off the ground at the light. Where exactly are the light
sockets grounded, or is it just through the fixture and hardware to the
body? If so, where was the corrosion? Am I on track with that guess, or is
there something else I should check?

        TIA.
