Dave-
All those old radios were mounted with cutouts in the dash to match the
2 knobs & a larger cutout for the dial. The radio was inserted from
behind, & a flat washer, lock washer, & flat nut were turned onto the
threaded shafts to hold the unit in place. A simple metal strap with
lots of holes was fastened to the bach of the radio & then to any
available mounting bolt above the radio to support the weight in the
rear. The trim plate you have went against the dash, under the washers &
nuts.

electrical suppliers.
