Much controversy on the list on this subject, but my opinion is, if you
don't mind dropping the driveshaft, then do it and be on the safe side.
I know a lot of people don't bother (me included) and have had no
problems. This is one of those "do as I say, not as I do" situations.
Though I rarely do it myself, I recommend to others that it be done.
(There! Now, if you don't do it, and something happens, I can rest
assured it's not my fault - I warned you)
