Just few thoughts here:
1. I never understood a language where one only pronounces (most of the
time) the first half of a word. (French)
2. If "the Queen's English" is correct, why does every singer in the world
sound like an American when they sing in English.

spell or pronounce proper in your *own* language!

I spell proper the same way you do...P-R-0-P-E-R. And I probably
pronounce it CORRECTLY! The queen's (?) english has adverbs for a
reason...=)
