Stopped at Hardees this morning for some breakfast, and somebody asked me
if that was my car out in the parking lot. We got to talking, and he said
that he has two MG-TDs in a barn where he keeps them stored away. One's a
green one and one's a white one (both are 51 models I believe???).
Anyway, I'm thinking they are rotting away, but he proceeds to tell me
that he is virutally the original owner, and he actually drives them every
now and then. Plus, they are perfectly original. Nothing has ever been
done to them(didn't say anything about an engine rebuild, so i don't
know), and they are in great shape from what he told me. He isn't
involved in the local car club, so I hadn't seen him before (kindof
suprised me).
I would have asked him if he wanted to sell (like I could afford it...:\),
but I refrained because he seemed pretty attached to them (plus his story
about bringing them from California in the 50s). I was just sort of
amazed.
