Hi Guys - before everyone gets too excited about the turbo charger on
the 215, let me give you my experiences.
About 1980 I purchased a 1962 Olds Jetfire with the 215 and the Air
Research turbo. The turbo was not working and after several phone
calls I spoke to one of the engineers at Air Research who had worked
there at that time. I opened my conversation with him by saying
"I have a 1962 Olds Jetfire ..." at which point he cut in and said
"with an Air Research turbo that doesn't work". He then told me
that the turbo was not perfected when it went on that car and that
it would be a waste of money to try to get it working. I subsequently
sold the car with the turbo still not working.
Cheers,
