>From what I understand; if you can swing it, you should replace the chain
and sprockets with the duplex chain/sprokets from an earlier engine.  They
wear better and don't streatch out.   (While you in there....)

As far as the tensioner just make sure you get it on right.  Once the engine 
turns a few
times (try it) the chain tension should even out.
