Hello all, I hope you are all able to enjoy top-down weather ( or windows
open if you have a GT ) which we have been having. I took my newly
aqquired 77B in this morning for oil change and etc and to get it on the
rack so I could get a really good first look at the underbelly of the beast.
Anyway, after I stopped my gas station buddy from wanting to put 90 wt in
the tranny, I noticed that the transmission has no dipstick. Being a
former chrome-bumper snob I was unaware that later cars used the overflow
hole method for checking tranny oil. I have never seen a reference to this
in any of the books I have, of course I have not had to look for any either
so that makes a difference too. When did this happen? After all, we MUST
stay up on our MG trivia or suffer the consequences. Don Walton in NC

stopped at our shop on Sun. and saw my B ( with the top DOWN ) and asked if
I knew where she might find a car like that. Interesting.........
