Sill covers

I would like to query the list about sill covers for my 75B.  Mine are
pretty ragged, and rather than paying the kind of money Moss Motors
wants($75), I'm thinking about getting some good carpet and covering them
along with the rest of the car (just the parts
that get carpet, ( ;->)  )  Has anyone done this?  How well does it
last(look)  Thanks in advance,
