Hi all--
read the bit about ATF and 30wt motorcycle shock oil being OK for lever arms--
how about the old STP racing trick? Does this (or any of the others) mix with
stock fluid?
How about "neutralizing" old brake fluid that piddled its way down from a
leaky clutch MC to the front frame member on a 'B? I'd wash the area (which
obviously lost its paint), but water on rapidly deteriorating paint gives me
the willies.
By the by--you Southerners are gonna hate/spam me for this, but if any of you
LBC owners who live in the dry (read: not humid) Rockies or desert Southwest
are thinking of moving down here--DON'T!! Not unless you want your previously
"rust-free" clean daily driver LBC sprouting "rust blooms" all over fasteners,
bare metal parts, etc. Sheesh--I almost hate working on the car now that it's
nicely worn patina of age has been replaced with humidity-borne oxidation.
Good upside to this though-- the car can breath again instead of wheezing at
6000 feet in the Pikes Peak area...
I know--what kinda cheese do I like with my whine...
