Sure, LBCs can have rust problems but they were made of heavier metal to begin with. You can dent the modern Japanes cars by leaning on `em. Take my `79 Nissan PU for example. I've already had to combat rust probs. I live in farm/ranc country and thare are lots of Ford, Chevy & Dodge trucks around that are on their 5th engine but not rusted.
