The electric fan is designed to come on around the 3/4 mark on the
guage. Here in the hot Louisiana summers, it is common for the cars temp
to vary between 1/2 and 3/4. As long as the fan comes on appropriately
and the temp doesn't really go past the 3/4 mark then you should be ok.
Of course, it is always a good idea to flush the system periodically,
make sure the radiator is clean and make sure the thermostat is in good
shape. Prevention can save you many headaches later on.
