Fuel Question

I once regularly poured expensive aero-petrol into my B! From what I recall 
the two grades were 120 and 140 Octane! (that's R+M/2) Cool stuff but
Illegal to put in your car because the proper road taxes aren't paid. I
don't believe I it did any harm to the engine but I was a little afraid to
advance the timing all that much.
