No more "half-cocked" questions, now I know to check the simple stuff -- but
this is a tad long.
Tach conked out on me today. Just quit, probably a loose wire (damn
original bullet connectors don't seem to like the Kentucky heat and
vibration of daily driving for the first time in 15 years)
It's becoming painfully obvious that I'm going to be doing a lot of electric
troubleshooting the more I drive the B. (Every day this week! woohoo!)
Any experience with the Lucas Fault Diagnosis Manual?
Is it worth me buying one (they ARE only $8) given I've already got Haynes
and Bentley?
In the back of my mind, I knew buying an MG would be a great way to improve
my electrical trouble-shooting skills, which are my weakest when it comes to
cars. It's all mental, I know.
On a related note, my dash wires are hanging below the steering column
so as to be visible, I'm thinking there is a "retainer strap" or something
that keeps the loom suspended away from my knee. No mention in the manual
that I can find.
TIA
Dan
