Hi Simon,
I was there, in my less than pristine B. There were some wonderful
cars there, and some less than spectacular ones. I particularly liked the
convertible Bentley. I don't think (even though this was the first time I
went) that this was necessarily a concours event, I think you'd have to go
to Pebble Beach for that!!! But it generally was fun, the people were
nice, and I have to admit that I saw a number of B's on the way home to
Berkeley which is somewhat rare for me. As I left, I did see those two
Tigers, a Jensen, and the Lotus Europa being loaded onto trailers for the
ride home. I'd love to have a car that stayed in such pristine condition,
but I'd also like to learn more of how to work on my own car, and drive it
hard, rather than worry about all the scratches in my (sort of) new paint
job. I do envy and love to look at those showroom beauties, but they're
not quite my style. Just my $.02 cents worth, and I do hope I'm not
offending anyone. Nina
