Hello Rick.  If you install a 1980 overdrive into you 73B.  You do not have to
change your speedo.  On late model overdrive transmissions.  The speedo pickup
is at the end of the tail shaft 1 to 1.  Have a 77B overdrive in my 67B and I
am using the stock non overdrive speedo.  John  flintstone, ga.
