As you stated
the harness seems to be good with only minor ground problems. If you have
ever pulled the cloth off an old harness you would be amazed at how good
the wire looks. Unless there have been a lot of shorts that have burned
off the insulation you shouldn't have any problems. If you do then replace
the harness, otherwise buy your new seat covers.
