Well each time I have had a rebuild (engine or tranny) the rebuilder would
always
say something like (well I recommend you replace all of the X, given one of
the
X has shown to be a problem.
Replacing all the synchros is SOP when doing a g/box rebuild. Unless I had
given explicit instructions not to replace the 3rd synchro (or said I wanted
to spend the least amount possible) I'd be unhappy.
I'd talk to him, say I was not happy that the box needed repair so quickly
and
ask him what did he suggest.
I'd be happy with this scenario or better: a) pull the box, b) deliver to
him,
c) pay for parts d) no labour charge
I'd prefer to deliver the whole car there but better something rather than
nothing.
