Consider buying an HVLP system. The price of these systems has dropped
dramatically over the past 2 years.
I just purchased one a couple of months ago from "Woodworkers Workbench" for
$170. Sure it's not a top
of the line model but it does spray lacquer and enamels pretty well. I just
painted 2 cars of mine this past month
and the results were acceptable (I am not a painter by trade). The best part
of it is that the gun has already
paid for itself. I used about 70% less paint than using a conventional gun.
With Acrylic enamels running close
to $50 per quart - you soon make up the difference
