How to dismantle MGA front brake calipers

This might be a stupid question, but here it is anyway:

I've got the front brake calipers apart now and I'm trying to get the
cylinders out.  I've removed the first lipped ring and the thin rubber
ring.  I still have not been able to get the cylinders out.  All
diagrams I look at show 3 rings.  Do I need to remove a third ring , and
If so, how do you get it out ????
