I've been off the list for a while because the crap>lbc content got too
much for me. I came back to the discussion of what appears to be
difficulty in shifting into first on a 3 synchro xmission. Could the
original poster send me the original post? I have a similar issue with a
Healey 3000. I go into reverse slick as can be, but 1st grinds more
often than not. Having been aquatinted with stick shifts for most of my
life (I hate auto xmissions but since I buy mostly used cars I have no
choice. My only new cars 1959 and 1965 were stick shifts), I know a lot
of shifting tricks, and that was a standard one for the beaters and the
bug-eye I owned.
In addition, can I assume from the posts that the wisdom that the three
synchro MGs have the same shifting problem is true?
