Very hectic week w/ an evening out with Mike Robson and Bob Allen being
the high point. We had a great time, just like three long time friends
should but the amazing thing is that this was the first time Mike and I
had met Bob. Met up with Bob in Manhattan, had lots of laughs, a look
at an MGA for sale in NJ and good dinner. I'm not one for "nights out
w/ the boys" on any kind of regular basis but have to admit that this
was a great break in the work week. I'm going to take Bob up on his
invite to Kansas City one of these days.
Eileen and I just took a run in the 77 B out to to visit some other
"friends via MGs", did a little parts swapping, under hood poking and
had some coffee.
Just want to say how nice it is to have made so many friends thru these
cars.
Hey Mike, I'm doing a Weds (the 18th) evening out to the Brits of the
Hudson general meeting in New Windsor (I think?), NY, You Game? I'll
send directions and time as soon as I receive them.
BTW I was the only MGB Driver driving a MGB this past Thurs. Parked it
on 45th St. NYC two blocks from Times Square (pumped 20 Quarters in the
meter for a 5 hour parking fee). I guess Midwest Air wouldn't allow Bob
to bring his C as lugage and if Mike had driven any one of his three
B's that evening we would have had to take 2 cars to Jersey.
Along other lines, I have just gotten word that John Twist is under
going surgery to remove a tumor in his head on Monday. It's a common
type of surgery and the doctors doing it have done it successfully many
times. I sure you all will join me in wishing him the best of luck and
a speedy recoup.
Safety Fast,
David Deutsch
