Points problem FU

Thanks to all who responded. This is my first LBC and the list is an
invaluable source of info as there is not much expertise in my area.
I will replace the condensor today as well as the points but.., I DO
have the soldered on condensor. Could I have overheated the last one
when installed? Any tricks to avoiding this in the future? As soon as I
get enough money together next month, the coil will be on order.
