It's easy to think you'll remember how to put the car back together,
but....
Before you take the car apart, get LOTS of sturdy freezer bags of various
sizes,a felt-tip marker, and a big notebook. Number the lines in the
notebook 1, 2, 3, ... Each time you remove a set of hardware or anything
that will fit in a bag, write the description in the notebook and number
the bag accordingly (some bags have white areas just for that purpose).
#1 -- Bonnet fixing bolts, #2, radiator fixing bolts, etc. If you break a
bolt, make a note in the notebook so you know what to buy.
It helps to have enough shelf space to arrange the bags more or less in
order. A few hours spent organizing when you start will save you lots of
time and aggravation at the tail end.
Cheers,
Jim
