Hi fellow MG listers,
Yesterday evening, the BBC world service (radio, that is)
had an item about a rat plague in Vietnam.
There are apparently so many rats there that they damage the crops
to a significant amount.
The government found out that one of the reasons for this large number of
rats was,
that there were so few cats left nowadays in Vietnam.
They are massively used for food purposes.
One of the measures the Vietnamese government has taken, acoording to the
generally well-informed
BBC, is to, at least temporarily, prohibit the use of cats for human
consumption .......
Happy Motoring
