The MGB runs!

The soaking in Diesel fuel did the trick. I drained out all
the diesel/oil mix from the sump, filled it with fresh oil, turned
the key and.... it started!

  I ran for 2-3 minutes without problems, stopped the car, then found my
way out of my smoke filled parking spot. Waited 5-10 minutes, then came
back and it started right up again!

  Wow. That was very easy with the right tricks. Thanks to all.
