Hi Darren,
I have an electric fan on my '67 and I plan to put
one on my '72. I've never had aproblem with drain
on the battery or problems with the generator,
though this car will soon be converted to a self
regulating alternator. I recommend the same for
yourself, at least for negative ground
compatibility and peace of mind.
YMMV, just my 2 cents.
