I can't argue with you on that, BUT!! it is awfully nice to have a loose
battery around from time to time, as you restore a car, for testing electrical
components as you repair them, and for sorting out various electrical
problems. It's often much more convenient to have a battery on your
workbench, rather than having to go out to the car. Also, if you drain it by
accident, you're not out a car till you get it recharged.
