Gary,

I routinely cruise my '75 'B with no over-drive at 75-80 MPH.  I
have cruised at 90.  90 in a 'B feels *fast*.  

I'm in San Diego, but have no dealings with the Brit car places
you list.  Well cared for a 'B makes a fine daily driver, and I
think a 'B GT would be fun up there, weather "permiting" or not.
