Hi Sean,
  It is my understanding that the caveats about not jacking up the frame 
relate to harmful unloading of the springs.
  Apparently, the springs may take a set (vis-a-vis stretching) that will 
interfere with the normal handling response and ride height of the 
vehicle afterward.
