Do PCV valves actually differ? I thought their primary use was to vent
crankcase and

only allow gases to pass one way(out). Do PVC valves impart some back pressure?

I thought a PCV was a PCV, although, I have heard of $100 PCV valves, so maybe
there is more to it than I believe.

So basically, I'm trying to say, why would installing a PCV alter the running
of the engine?
