Gregg,

Just went through this on my "A". According to " Original MGA" the early
cars up to ser # 27989( disk wheel) and Ser # 28540 ( wire wheel) used
BSF threads on the rear brake banjo fittings and two of the fittings on
the 3-way fitting mounted to the rear axle. The fitting on the 3-way
toward the master cylinder was UNF threads. Of course there is no way of
telling that you have the original parts on your car until you remove
and inspect them. I can't recall the different flares used.

The complete brake line kits are available from Scarborough Faire. That
is where I got mine. My car was incorectly titled as a '59 and I got the
wrong kit. SF replaced the two wrong rear break lines with the proper
ones. Fits like the proverbial glove. SF says that they have tooling and
fittings for all styles and if yours is a kluge fit, they can make lines
for you.

As an aside, on my car, the two banjo fittings were different also. One
side was straight and the other side was angled. One had a UNF bleeder
screw and the other had a BSF bleeder (maybe from a TD?) Now it has two
right angled banjos with UNF bleeders.
