Larry,
I could be wrong, but I thought that the V-10 was developed for the
Viper, with the intention of putting it in the Ram trucks later. I
don't remember a V-10 in the trucks until the new Mack-front-end Rams
came out, and the Viper certainly pre-dated those. Not to say that
Lee and Carroll didn't pluck the idea from plans for a truck engine,
but I'm pretty sure it made it into the Viper first.
