Trying to help a friend with a bad distributor. Can a 73 MGB distributor with lateral slop in the shaft be rebuilt? I see a new replacement bush listed in the vicky Brit catalog but don't know if that is the only thing I need. Any one done it before or know a shop that I could send it to? Other options might be to install a crane ignition which would get around the slop in the shaft problem or replace it with a new/rebuilt one. Any ideas/sources would be appreciated.
