Hi, The delay of the piston rising richens the mixture, momentarily, to create an accelerator-pump-type action, without having a pump. I use 20/50 in mine, as recommended by Mr. Twist. In theory, the longer you delay the rise, the more powerful your acceleration, as I understand the whole thing. -- Scott C.
