Cleaning/greasing hub splines 2

A little too much egg nog before I sent my last post. My question is, 
which solvent do I use to remove the old grease? And how much new grease 
do I apply to the hub before I replace the wheel?  I just want my splines 
to live a long happy life. Thanks in advance.
