My 2=A2...
The distributor in my midget was sloppy (loose shaft). No way it would
have worked with points. No way I could afford a new one at that time.
So, I got an Ignitor electronic ignition. It took literally minutes to
install (it has no external module, just 2 wires come out of the dizzy) I
haven't looked back since! I'm using a Bosch 'Blue' coil, Bosch platinum
plugs, good silicone wires. I can't tell you how nice it is to not have to
mess with points (let alone Lucas points) and let alone 2 sets of points.
Get an Ignitor. Moss gets $99 for them.
