Karim,

BEFORE you buy a TC get hold of Mike Sherill's excellent book "TC's Forever"
It will tell you almost everything you could want to know about TC's.
There's a small section at the front that covers the lineage of the TC but
the rest of the book covers everything from body off restoration to
originality in detail and mechanical modifications / improvements.

I can't recommend it highly enough, it's pricey but worth it. Shop around.
I found it for significantly less than Moss wants for it.

Paint schemes under the bonnet vary with the age of the car, earlier cars
are grey, later cars are body colour. The underside of the fenders should be
body colour, the radiator grill slats should be the same colour as the interior.

When you look at the car check the left front frame member just aft of the
front spring hanger, you should see the cars serial number stamped into the
frame. It will be TC XXXX. This number will give us an idea of when the
car was made and what kind of ancillary equipment it should have.

Good Luck and welcome to the club!
