There is a danger here of assuming the bulbs are good if they light! Be
careful, it is very important that the correct WATTAGE bulbs are used. The
difference being the flasher needs to pass the correct CURRENT in order for it
to heat the bi-metallic strip that actually cause the lights to go off. When
the bi-metallic strip cools, it makes contact again, then the lights come on.
Sooo, the wattage of the bulbs will determine the frequency they flash.
One sure way to check if the bulbs are correct, is to swap the left side (
front and back together) with the right side and see if the problem goes to the
other side.
