The first New car I ever bought was a 67 Triumph Spitfire which I bought
in Paris for $1,800 - thats without any taxes and duties as I was in
the Diplomatic Service. Drove it in Paris for a year and shipped it to
my new posting in Ottawa where I drove it for about two yrs and finally
sold it and got me a Mustang Mach 1. Can't for the life of me remember
how much that cost.
