For your information, if you're talking about the TC, TD or TA, the T-series
Handbook put out by the New England MGT Register, published in 1981, contains
the color schemes including available upholstery colors for the years 1947 -
1953.
The paints were put out by Ditzler, now a subsidiary of PPG, and by Ringshed
-Mason, DuPont and Martin Senour. Have spent considerable time with the color
librarians at Pittsburgh Paint (PPG)and DuPont. The original color codes are
available. It takes a little research.
Many of the colors you see today on the early MGs were simply not available.
By 1953, there were very few colors - black, MG red, Woodland green (this is
not your traditional British racing green but a very ugly green), ivory and
Silver Streak grey. Upholstery was only red, green or biscuit. Hope this is
helpful. If you locate that Web site, would like to hear what they have to
offer.
There is a fellow claiming to offer original MG colors, but he refuses to
supply paint chips. He advertises in Hemmings every month.
