Enrique,

First of all best of luck with this rebuild (I did some of
the same on my 76 this summer to good results),
but get ready to spend some major $$$$.

Here's my $.02:

Mine does that but not as bad. Unfortunately the problem is
in the rack, which I didn't rebuild or replace. Your parts
list seems to address that.

I replaced the kingpins, all bushings (used rubber/steel
V-8 bushings with good results). New steering rack boots,
universal joint (It still clonks a little so I suspect the
steering column, $$$$). New coil springs, added an anti-sway
bar (Your 77 has that already). New brake lines and
rotors. I used new crossmember to body rubber and
new (forget the name) things that the suspension
hits when it bottoms out (rubber / steel things).

It was major bucks (I hired out some of the
reassembly work) but it was well worth it; I can
drive it like it was meant to be driven now.

DO shop around for parts, you'll save big. Good luck
and don't kill yourself with the springs!

Tyson
