My only child turned thirty this month, so I faced reality, and became a card
carrying Old Fart -- I joined AARP (that's the American Association of Retired
People to you young whipper snappers and furriners), even though I haven't a
prayer of retiring in the forseeable future. At any rate, I sent off a quote
for auto insurance for my fleet of old vehicles, and was amazed at the
response. They (actually ITT Hartford) quoted me about 53% of what I am paying
for the same coverage (or better) from State Farm, who, in turn are waaaay
under any of the other local insurance companies I checked, mainly because I've
been with them for 10 years or so. The question is, do any of you other OFs, or
insurance specialists of any age, have any experience with ITT Hartford? Will
they actually pay out and do so on a timely basis if I ever have need to file a
claim? Any caveats?
